Entry requirements
You will need a good (2:1 or an equivalent standard in other qualifications) Honours degree in chemical, biological, physical, Earth and environmental sciences, engineering, oceanography or mathematics. A solid background in mathematics at undergraduate level and familiarity with computers will also be required. If you do not have these qualifications, but have relevant professional experience in coastal sciences, we will consider you.

Course content
On this unique 2-year Marine Environment and Resources MSc, you’ll study at the University of Southampton and partner universities in France, Spain and Belgium. You’ll develop the in-depth knowledge and skills to assess and manage the marine environment, putting you in a great position for a successful career in the marine sector.
On this master’s course you’ll split your time between the University of Southampton and our partner universities in the Marine Environment and Resources (MER) Consortium:

English language requirements: band G, IELTS 7.0 overall, with a minimum of 6.5 in all components.
