Course content
Join the University of Southampton, a global top 100* research-intensive university on this three year DEdPsych Doctorate in Educational Psychology training programme.
Upon graduation, this professional qualification allows you to work in Children’s Services.
You’ll help children with the developmental and educational problems they present to parents, teachers and other agencies. You'll be eligible for registration with the HCPC as an Educational Psychologist.
Your first year will be mostly university-based with a 55 day school placement. In your second and third years you'll take part in two local authority placements to give you experience of educational psychology practise. This route is funded by the Department for Education.

If English is not your first language, you will need to demonstrate your English meets our Band G: For IELTS, this is 7.0 overall, with minimum 6.5 in all components. For information on other accepted English language tests, please see the website.
