An upper second-class (2.1) undergraduate honours degree or above with an engineering, science, computing, mathematics or life sciences background.

Course content

The acquisition of large datasets is now common both in academic science and industrial practice.

Our MSc is for you if you’re:

  • interested in data science and its applications to sciences and technology
  • want to move into industry
  • plan to pursue further studies.

You’ll learn about the theory and practice of state-of-the-art data science with applications ranging from mathematics to physics, from biology to computer science. You’ll develop the skills to provide appropriate and up-to-date tools to deal with datasets.
