Entry requirements

You can study a standard master's degree if you have:

  • A standard degree from a Spanish university (of any level and duration).
  • A foreign degree from a European Higher Education Area (EHEA) country, which enables the student to study a master's degree in the issuing country.
  • A foreign degree from a non-EHEA country, which is of an equivalent level to a standard degree in that country and which enables the student to study at postgraduate level there. The degree does not need to be formally recognised in Spain. Consult the information concerning document legalisation procedures at the Ministry of Education.   • you are taking a recognised bachelor's degree course at a university in Spain and you only need to pass the Final Year Project (TFG) to obtain the degree. You can apply for a place on the Master's Degree course and provisionally enrol in the last applications and enrolment period. You need to certify that you have enrolled for your TFG project and can complete you bachelor's degree in the same academic year that you start the master's degree course. Under no circumstances will you be able to obtain a university master's degree if you have not first obtained a recognised bachelor's degree.

Apart from the general entrance requirements, each Master's Degree has its own admissions requirements and specific selection criteria.

Admission requirements
  • University study programmes that include the learning outcomes corresponding to degrees in Biomedical Sciences and Engineering, Biomedical Sciences, Biomedicine, Basic and Experimental Biomedicine, Biomedicine and Advanced Therapies, Biology, Human Biology, Health Biology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Genetics, Bioinformatics, Medicine or Pharmacy.
  • Accreditation of English language proficiency equivalent to CEFR level B2. Applicants who cannot provide this accreditation will need to pass a test administered by UVic-UCC.

The University of Vic - Central University of Catalonia reserves the right to cancel the master's degree if there is insufficient enrolment.

Course content

Its objective is to equip students with the skills needed to transform biomedical discoveries into innovation applicable to industrial and clinical settings. It combines advanced scientific training in biomedicine with knowledge of regulation, ethics, research management and entrepreneurship in biotechnology and the pharmaceutical industry. This master's programme, which is taught in English, can be completed online, although the final master's dissertation will be carried out in person in research laboratories, hospitals or companies within the sector.
