Course content
The PG Certificate in Career Education, Information and Guidance in Higher Education provides a core foundation in the knowledge and skills required for higher education career and employability work. The flexible nature of this course allows you to complete the core modules and then follow a more individualised track through the optional module linked to your working role. The course is designed for people who have recently started work in a relevant role in HE or who wish to develop further in a relevant role they have been in for some time and for those who wish to enrol on a shorter course than the PG Diploma and MA.
The course is delivered in conjunction with the Association of Graduate Careers Advisory Services (AGCAS) and is taught with them. It is also approved by the Career Development Institute (CDI) as meeting the qualification requirement for the UK Register of Career Development Professionals. The course is designed for anyone who is either new to the work or wishes to develop further in a relevant role they have had for some time and for those who wish to enrol on a shorter course than the PG Diploma or MA.
The PG Certificate consists of three modules: two core 20 credit modules and one 20 credit optional modules.
