Most areas from the 18th-century Enlightenment to the present day, with notable areas of expertise in: German Classicism and Romanticism; Orientalism in German Culture from 1800 to the Present; German Diasporic Cultures and Literatures; Nationalism and Anti-Semitism; Weimar Cultures; Contemporary German History; Post-War German Literature and Culture; German Memory Cultures; Transnationalism and transculturalism; Critical Theory.
