Course content

The Marine Engineering Management course is designed for graduates and professionals who seek an in-depth education and knowledge development in the traditional yet developing marine engineering and maritime sectors.

The course involves the study of the theoretical concepts of marine engineering, along with case studies and practical subjects. The modules cover a range of key marine engineering management areas and functions, from procurement management to the decarbonisation of shipping.

There is a particular focus on decision-making for graduates without an engineering background who seek a demanding conversion course.

Additionally, HIMS is linked to BCA College, the oldest Maritime Business School in Greece and Europe. BCA has offered maritime business studies since 1971, and has produced more than 10,000 alumni now working with some of the largest ship management companies in Athens, Limassol, Singapore, Genoa and more.
