Entry requirements
You should have an honours degree (2:1 or above) from a UK university or equivalent. You must demonstrate a clear interest in acoustics.
We may also offer you a place based on relevant experience or training, normally from within the work environment. All applications are considered individually.

There is an increasing demand for people with the skills and knowledge to analyse the acoustic problems that impact our daily lives which is where our MSc Applied Acoustics with Management comes in.
You will delve into various aspects of acoustics from room acoustics and noise control, through to architectural acoustics, acoustic modelling and more.
Additionally, this Applied Acoustics with Management degree focuses on the management side of applied acoustics, allowing you to develop valuable skills in legal and managerial practices.

Information for international students
You need to meet our English language requirement - a minimum of IELTS 6.5, with 5.5 for each of the 4 individual components (Reading, Writing, Speaking and Listening). Visit our English language requirements page for information on other English language tests we accept.
You also need Level 6 qualifications at the same level as UK applicants, and to be able to demonstrate a clear interest in acoustics. In some countries where teaching is in English, we may accept local qualifications. Check for local equivalents.
