Course content
Interrogate the ethical norms governing global politics and the proposed alternatives. You'll also familiarise yourself with diverse theoretical perspectives on global issues. In the process, you'll gain a deep understanding of how modern politics was ethically conceived and what future governing norms might resemble.
Examine the real world impact of international politics in different regions. You'll engage with theoretical debates and analyse how they resonate in different contexts. In doing so, you'll learn to analyse and address specific global questions. This will involve interrogating the latest research via debate and discussion.
Be supported by internationally-renowned experts from around the world. You'll engage with their regional expertise in the European Union, the United States, Latin America and Africa. Their research informs their teaching. With their support, you'll develop your ability to think critically about regional, national and international politics, ideas and institutions.
Study what you're passionate about. This course is highly customisable. Our wide range of option modules cover the full breadth of the subject area. This means you can tailor your degree to focus on the areas of international relations that interest you most.
