Course content
Learn how global politics and new security challenges affect the human rights of people across the world. You'll analyse and interrogate diverse theoretical perspectives. In turn, you'll discover how big-picture global politics shapes the human rights environment in all corners of the world. You'll gain a nuanced understanding of the global challenges and opportunities for human rights in the 21st century.
Examine the real world impact of international politics in different regions. You'll engage with theoretical debates and analyse how they resonate in different contexts. In doing so, you'll learn to analyse and address specific global questions.
Be supported by internationally-renowned experts from around the world. You'll engage with their regional expertise in the European Union, the United States, Latin America and Africa. Their research informs their teaching. With their support, you'll develop your ability to think critically about regional, national and international politics, ideas and institutions.
