Entry requirements

Graduates with an honours degree at 2:2 or above in a related subject area (e.g. Graphics Art, Computer Science, Interiors, Product, Gaming, 3D Visualisation, Animation, Creative, Filmmaking, Entrepreneurs, UX Design) will normally register for the MA.

Graduates with an honours degree from another discipline and working in a professional arts environment or with extensive experience of arts practice will be considered on an individual basis.

Course content

This course in MA Virtual and Augmented Reality will equip you with a broad range of skills, by exploring a number of media platforms using both wearable and handheld devices to conceptualise new digital experiences.

You will be introduced to bespoke methods for designing digital experiences with the support of our industry partners. York Business School will work in partnership with you to deliver bespoke business modules to enable you to become entrepreneurial and understand how creative practice and business can link together.

The programme will prepare you to become more familiar in both VR and AR and to apply your creative talent and transferable skills through a diverse range of sectors such as marketing, education, television, film, gaming and many others, to be prepared for working in the industry.
