An upper second class Honours degree (or equivalent) from a British or recognised overseas university. Applicants with relevant professional experience are also considered. For the MSc in Orthopaedic Engineering a recognised medical degree is the minimum entry requirement. Minimum requirements for English language are IELTS 6.5 or TOEFL 600 (250 Computer Based Test).

This course is designed to provide specialist postgraduate professional development in this emerging discipline, encompassing areas traditionally within civil engineering, earth sciences and biology.
Professional practice issues are integrated with the scientific and engineering foundation of the MSc through a series of short, workshop-style training courses covering practical aspects. These short courses are delivered by recognised professional practitioners in the industry.
Suitable for graduates in civil or environmental engineering, earth sciences or biosciences or for candidates with suitable professional experience.

Fees and funding
This course is one of the eligible courses under the Cardiff University's Postgraduate Taught Scholarships scheme.
The scholarships are each worth £3000 and will be awarded in the form of a tuition fee discount. In order to be eligible for consideration you need to be applying for the full time version of this course (or another eligible taught course) and be a UK/EU student for fee paying purposes.
