Course content

Are you fascinated by innovation in sport and keen to steer the evolution of the industry? Join our flexible and highly responsive MSc Sport Business and Innovation, learning in London’s dynamic sporting hub in the former Olympic Park.

In the fast-evolving sport world, clubs, brands and businesses need sector savvy specialists who can drive and harness innovation to keep them ahead of the game. Not just economically, but in the social and sustainable sense, too. It takes a thorough understanding of business, innovation, change and risk. Plus, the ability to identify gaps in the innovation space, and the potential of digital and new media. This course will equip you with all that and more.

Up-to-the-minute content and the latest industry insights

This is a future-focused programme, constantly updated to keep you on top of new and emerging trends, media and tech.

The practice of innovation runs through every module. So whether you’re learning about digital storytelling, sponsorship or sport integrity, you’ll develop the practical skills needed to forecast, plan and implement new developments. It’s a potent environment to spark or develop your own ideas too.

Studying at the heart of London’s sport ecosystem, you’ll have access to industry partners like London Sport, the Harlequins, London Marathon, Formule E, Chelsea FC and Two Circles. Many of these feed into the course in guest lectures and provide project and dissertation opportunities, with a vested interest in nurturing the innovators of tomorrow.

Accelerate your potential for success

This master’s is an ideal choice if you’ve got a passion for sport business and a desire to drive it forward in positive, progressive ways.

You’ll graduate with the skills and connections needed to strike into middle and senior positions across commercial, not-for-profit and international sport-focused organisations. Equally, you could apply your expertise to your own entrepreneurial venture or other start-ups.
