Course content

The Master's specialisation in Gender Equality, Diversity and Inclusion in Politics introduces you to issues and ongoing debates in the field of gender and diversity studies and offers you the opportunity to better understand different policy practices related to it and their gendered implications in organisations and politics.

The programme provides you with the background knowledge and skills needed to understand the moral reasons - social justice, fairness and anti-discrimination - and the business reasons - legitimacy and performance - for achieving gender equality, diversity and inclusion through gender mainstreaming strategies. You will be challenged to apply academic theories to real life questions and dilemmas within organisations and society, to reflect upon the normative dimensions of debates, to design workable solutions to change organisations and to advice policy makers and management teams.

What will you learn?

  • Gain a theoretical background of gender and diversity issues and practices
  • Learn how to identify ethical dilemmas surrounding gender and diversity, and their political ramifications
  • Apply skills to practical situations
  • Get valuable experience designing, conducting and presenting your own research

*This programme is a specialisation of the Master's in Political Science
