Entry requirements

MSc by Research: a minimum of a UK Upper Second-Class degree (or equivalent) will be required.

Applicants will not be considered for this programme unless an Upper Second-Class degree (or equivalent) has been achieved or on-track to be achieved. In addition, the following documents must be submitted at the point of application:

• Research proposal (including, who you have identified as your first and second supervisors)
• Evidence of classification achieved (or if degree is pending, transcript/marks statement achieved to date)
• Curriculum Vitae/Resume outlining full academic history plus skills and experience
• Academic reference

Course content

The MSc by Research in Business Management is a one year (full-time) research degree which offers complete flexibility through its wholly research based mode of study.

You will have the freedom to choose your own area of research within business management, with the support of the School’s world-class academics.

Blending independent research with expert academic supervision, this course provides an advanced understanding of contemporary trends and issues in Management and associated areas.

Whether you’re interested in consumer behaviour, global business strategies or human resource management; you will have an opportunity to produce a piece of research which could have a significant impact on a particular area of business.

The course itself is designed to prepare you for a career in academia, business or further postgraduate or professional study.
