Course content

MSc Cyberpsychology intricately explores human interaction with technology and its impact on our behaviour.

Cyberpsychology helps us to answer:

  • Why do people behave differently in online environments?
  • How has technology enhanced opportunities to connect with others?
  • What are the different online risks for young and old generations? And what can we do about it?
  • How can we use different technology (e.g., robots, AI) for good?

We have bursaries and scholarships available for both home and international students at undergraduate and postgraduate level, and these are awarded based on location, merit or financial need.

Funded scholarships and bursaries may be awarded across all schools of study, and represent a partial remission from tuition fees. Bursaries are means-tested and are intended for those who need a contribution towards their fees in order to study at Buckingham.

Throughout Buckingham’s MSc Cyberpsychology, you’ll engage in weekly small-group tutorials with your module tutor, with in-depth and thought-provoking discussions on various topics that enhance your communication skills. You will also acquire subject topic-specific knowledge and develop research methods skills that you will apply on a supervised dissertation research project of your choosing. The programme has a focus on applicability, so you will be developing skills that will be relevant for future employability.
