Course content

In the Master’s Programme in Agricultural, Environmental and Resource Economics (AGERE), you qualify as an expert with a set of skills needed to address tomorrow’s questions already today.
The programme comprises two study tracks:
- In the Agricultural Economics study track, you study e.g. agricultural markets and policy, business economics, production economics and farm management, rural entrepreneurship, and environmental and natural resources.
- In the Environmental and Resource Economics study track, you study e.g. natural resource economics, dynamic optimisation and numerical models, environmental valuation, applied econometrics and cost-benefit analysis, Baltic Sea protection, and forest economics.
Fees and funding
Scholarships are intended for excellent tuition fee-liable students from outside the EU/EEA and Switzerland who want to complete a Master's programme at the University of Helsinki.
University of Helsinki scholarship programme consists of tuition fee waivers, waiving the tuition fee for 50 % or 100 %. Please note that even if you received a tuition fee waiver from the University's scholarship programme, you still need to cover your living costs from your own funds. Please note that only very limited number of tuition fee waivers can be awarded and most of them cover 50 % of the tuition fee.
Tuition fee waivers are awarded to the best students on the grounds of academic overall assessment according to the general master’s degree entrance requirements, academic excellence and success in previous studies and motivation to study in a master’s programme at the University of Helsinki.
