Master’s Programme in English Studies
The Master’s Programme in English Studies offers the opportunity to explore cutting-edge topics in linguistics and literary studies. The curriculum is structured into four modules: Language and Society; Discourse and Digital Interaction; Literature and Society; and Literature and the Mind.
All courses are taught by active researchers in a collaborative and supportive learning environment. With guidance from faculty and peers, you will strengthen your skills in academic writing, critical analysis, presentation, and intercultural communication. Through individual and group projects, you will also develop research design and project management abilities, which you will apply in your Master’s thesis during the thesis seminar.
Graduates of the programme pursue diverse career paths. You may continue to doctoral studies, complete pedagogical training to become a language teacher, or enter fields such as media, publishing, business, or international organisations. As English remains a global language of science, culture, business, and tourism, expertise in English is highly valued across a wide range of professions.
