Entry requirements

An honours degree (at least 2:2 or above) in a relevant subject. Applicants who do not have agree will need to show they have appropriate professional experience and skills to benefit from the cours. We may also be able to take into account accredited prior learning (APL) or accredited prior experiential learning (APEL).

Course content

Covers a wide range of advanced abilities, from traditional craft processes to digital image making. The course will also encourage exploration of the possibilities of the graphic image and uses, and features graphic design in both web-based and print formats. It focuses on professional practice and enterprise, so students acquire the skills required to practice, and will equip students with the skills to work as a freelance practitioner. Key aspects of the course also include social, political, environmental and commercial contexts of graphic design, and the processes by which graphic signs operate to convey meanings in various environments.

Information for international students

If English is not the first language, a minimum IELTS score of 6.0 or equivalent is required.
