A minimum of a second-class UK degree, or an equivalent internationally recognised qualification in a variety of areas will be considered for entry on this course.

All applicants are considered on an individual basis and additional qualifications, professional qualifications and relevant experience may also be taken into account when considering applications.

Course content

At Kent Business School, the MSc in International Business and Management will provide you with knowledge of the theory and desired practical functions needed to navigate the increasingly global world of international trade and business.

Our World is increasingly connected meaning we need leaders who have the skills and abilities to guide a business, internationally. On this course, learn through a mix of detailed theory and practical workshops on current and emerging international concepts and theories across a variety of business management areas. Whether you’re interested in human resources or global marketing management, this flexible course provides optional modules that will allow you to follow the right path for you.

You also have access to our ASPIRE centre, a purpose-built entrepreneurial lab where you can develop, plan and launch your own start-up business.

MSc International Business and Management is also available with an optional Industrial Placement.

Industrial Placement

Industrial placements are the perfect way for you to enhance your career prospects and deepen your understanding of a specific area of expertise. This MSc programme is available with the option to take an in-company or self-employed industrial placement of up to 12 months (visa dependent), allowing you to gain work experience in the UK or overseas.

Information for international students

Please see our International website for entry requirements by country and other relevant information. Due to visa restrictions, international fee-paying students cannot study part-time unless undertaking a distance or blended-learning programme with no on-campus provision.

English language entry requirements

The University requires all non-native speakers of English to reach a minimum standard of proficiency in written and spoken English before beginning a postgraduate degree.

Applicants who are required to meet an English language condition may be able to study a pre-sessional course in English for Academic Purposes through Kent International Pathways.

Fees and funding

KBS has a wide range of funding opportunities for postgraduate students, which include Scholarships, Bursaries, the Kent Business School Loyalty Award for University of Kent undergraduates and the KBS Early Bird Discount which equates to 10% off tuition fees (apply by 31 March 2023 and pay course deposit by 30 April 2023).
