Entry requirements

  • Bachelor of Dental Surgery or equivalent

  • English language qualification (this can be met in a multitude of ways)

  • 1 years full time (or equivalent part time) post graduate clinical work experience in a hospital or general practice

  • 2 written references – ideally one from an academic tutor and one from an employer.

English language requirements

IELTS 7.0 overall, with no less than 6.5 in every skill. For other English qualifications, read English language equivalent qualifications.

Course content

Part-time and full-time study options are available.

This course will improve your confidence and abilities with respect to management of dentoalveolar surgery while also providing a range of skills which are highly relevant to modern clinical practice.

The course has been designed to assist dentists working in primary care in managing complex extractions and routine dentoalveolar surgery. The range of non-clinical skills will also help students understand the processes of clinical audit and education.
