Entry requirements

  • Applicants should hold a bachelor’s degree (NFQ Level 8)) with at least a second-class honours, grade 2 (2:2) in any discipline or an approved equivalent qualification.

  • Applicants should have attained language proficiency at a minimum of B2.2 level on the Common European Framework Reference (CEFR) in the main language pair they are registering for.

  • The university may shortlist and invite you to an interview.

This MA provides a strong foundation for roles in translation companies, international institutions, publishing, and freelance translation, and opens pathways to careers in language consultancy and project management.
