Entry requirements

MSc: 2:1 (or international equivalent)

PGDip: 2:2 (or international equivalent) with 60 credits of psychology.

Applicants must also have a maths qualification equivalent to at least a grade 4/C at GCSE.

IELTS: 6.5 with at least 6.0 in each element

Course content

This course is suited to students who do not have an honours degree in psychology, or do not have eligibility for Graduate Basis for Chartered Membership from the BPS but wish to pursue a career in psychology.

Research project

As part of the masters, you will undertake an individual research project over the summer. This is an opportunity to use what you’ve learned to further your knowledge in a particular area. You will be given a range of projects to choose from. Previous topics have included:

  • The Developing Relationship Between Overimitation and Innovation
  • Investigating the Relationship Between Schizotypy and Susceptibility to the McCollough Effect (ME) in a Non-Clinical Population
  • Choosing to Receive Help and Helping Others
