Entry requirements

For entry onto research degrees, the University usually requires a minimum of a 2:2 or equivalent in a relevant subject - chemistry, or chemistry related. However, individual circumstances such as previous experience and relevant work experience are also taken into account and applications are welcomed from interested applicants. If you are a non-native English speaking applicant you must provide evidence of your English language ability. You need to show enough fluency in all aspects of English (reading, writing, speaking and listening) to the required level of the course you're applying to.

This course is designed to equip students with the necessary skills in green chemistry and green chemical technology and provide them with the background knowledge of careers in research, process development, environmental services, manufacturing, law, consultancy and government.

Delivered via a combination of lectures, workshops and seminars, the MSc programme lasts for 12 months. In addition to academic experts in the field, lectures are also given by external visitors from related industries, ensuring that the course content is both up to date and relevant.

The course may also be taken as a PG Dip or PG Cert.
