The MSc in Project Management at IBSS is a contemporary flagship programme offered in a blended learning mode. It will equip you with the necessary skills and knowledge to successfully manage projects in a variety of industries and contexts. You will learn about all aspects of how to effectively plan, implement, control and monitor, and handover projects of various sizes and complexities in a highly competitive global marketplace. You will gain vital skills in the management of stakeholders’ expectations, risk management, and quality assurance in projects. The programme will teach you from both a practical and theoretical standpoint how project management can be used as a tool to help grow business and achieve strategic objectives in an organisational setting. The programme teaches skills and knowledge that can be used in the successful management of both engineering and business-related projects.
The MSc Project Management programme caters to the needs of experienced professionals as well as those who are at the juncture of starting their careers in a project management-related role through the acquisition of necessary world-class skills and knowledge in a technology-embedded learning environment. The first of its kind, the blended delivery mode harnesses the technological skills of you to provide an enriched learning experience in a contemporary setting.
China is seen as being at the forefront of countries where quickly developing project management industries will contribute strongly towards economic development and GDP growth, which calls for providing education and skills in project management to meet the current and future demand for people who possess project management skills. Suzhou, Shanghai and Wuxi are important hubs of business and economic activities. Therefore, we expect to see a strong pattern of demand for the recruitment of people with project management skills across various industries in these hubs. With an increased use of structured project management techniques for a wide variety of business activities and across different types of industries, there is a strong demand for people who have skills in project management, both within China and more widely across Asia and beyond. This programme seeks to cater to these growing demands offering to provide skills and education in how to successfully plan, design, implement and control projects.
The programme will be delivered over 18 months (or 36 months part-time) combining a number of different delivery and assessment modes, such as lectures, tutorials, seminars and laboratory classes. Module teaching will be supplemented with industry visits and guest speakers. The modules of the programme are:

If English is not your first language, but you are following a full-time degree level programme delivered wholly in English, you will normally be exempt from the English language requirements. If you have not studied at degree level in English, you will need to provide evidence of your level of proficiency in the English language. Fees and funding
XJTLU offers a generous scholarship of 50% of the total tuition fee for all full-time masters programmes. All applicants for September 2015 will be considered for this scholarship, based on academic merit, and no separate application is required.
Tuition fees are charged annually (i.e. for an 18-month programme, you will be initially charged for the first two semesters, then charged for the remaining third semester of study).
