Course content
On our MSc Mental Health and Wellbeing in Practice course, you’ll cover key theories and principles to equip you with the knowledge, skills and practical experience for a career in mental health and wellbeing.
This programme combines both hands-on practice through a work-integrated learning placement with the theoretical foundations and fundamentals of clinical psychology and psychiatry in understanding mental health and wellbeing in different areas ranging from children and young people and elderly individuals with recognition of intersections, diversity and culture.
During the programme, you’ll cover modules which develop your knowledge and skills for therapeutic practice in working with individuals, in addition to areas of mental health and wellbeing which addresses the theoretical nature of disciplines such as psychiatry to understand how mental health and wellbeing is conceptualised in practice, popular media and culture, and more.
