Course content
This MSc Occupational and Business Psychology programme explores how psychological theory and research can be applied within organisations to improve workplace performance, wellbeing, and leadership.
You will develop a strong understanding of how individuals and groups behave at work and how psychological principles can be used to support recruitment, employee development, organisational change, and workplace wellbeing. The programme combines academic theory with practical consultancy skills, preparing you to address real organisational challenges using evidence-based approaches.
Throughout the course, you will gain experience in organisational assessment, people selection, coaching, leadership development, and workplace learning. You will also develop research and consultancy skills, including data analysis, stakeholder communication, and the design of organisational interventions.
The programme emphasises practical application through case studies, consultancy-style projects, and a research dissertation, allowing you to explore a workplace psychology topic in depth.
Accredited by the British Psychological Society (BPS) and the Association for Business Psychology (ABP), this course can form a step towards becoming a Chartered Occupational Psychologist or Business Psychologist.
Graduates are equipped for careers in areas such as organisational consultancy, human resources, leadership development, workplace wellbeing, talent management, and organisational change.
