Course content
The LLM International Commercial Law provides advanced knowledge of the legal frameworks governing international commercial transactions and cross-border business activity. The programme explores the legal, regulatory and practical issues involved in international trade, commercial contracts and dispute resolution.
Students examine the principles of international commercial law, including the regulation of international trade, arbitration and dispute resolution, intellectual property, and corporate responsibility. The course develops both theoretical understanding and practical legal skills relevant to global commercial practice.
The programme emphasises the application of legal knowledge to real-world commercial scenarios. Through case studies, problem-based learning and legal analysis, students develop expertise in interpreting international legal instruments, negotiating commercial agreements and resolving complex cross-border disputes.
The course culminates in an independent research project in international commercial law, enabling students to investigate a specialised topic and develop advanced research, analytical and legal writing skills relevant to international legal practice.
