Entry requirements

The programme is suitable for graduates with a 1st or 2nd class UK Honours degree, or equivalent in chemistry or a related discipline e.g. chemical engineering, pharmacy, pharmacology and biochemistry.

Applicants with a degree in a subject other than chemistry will be required to demonstrate knowledge and understanding of key chemical topics prior to an offer being made.

Course content

The programme is designed to provide graduates with advanced knowledge, understanding and skills, enabling them to contribute within many areas of industry, healthcare and research.

The programme is built around a set of core modules and a variety of optional modules. This approach allows students to tailor the programme to meet their own educational needs and explore their own interests in the broad field of chemistry. Graduates will be able to choose from a wide range of modules offered in different chemical disciplines, enabling them to develop skills and knowledge in specific areas of chemistry and making them highly attractive to potential employers in research, industrial, commercial and healthcare organisations.
