Course content

This design driven course develops principles and techniques necessary for creating innovative design solutions to interior spaces. Specialising in an area of personal interest within the course framework, you will expand and develop advanced design thinking and the skills required for creating design, management and technological solutions to a range of challenges.

The course is designed to be visual and interactive, to develop you as an architectural design innovator and problem solver, ready to move straight into industry upon graduation. You’ll learn to combine practical skills with spatial awareness, practical applications and function.

You’ll gain a broad understanding of newly developing material technologies and related optional subject areas to enable you to exploit and maximise all design opportunities. The course develops skilled professionals qualified to solve and manage complex problems related to interior architecture from advanced cultural, environmental, economic and design perspectives.

The live design projects you’ll undertake will focus on interior spatial interventions in the context of new, and existing, buildings. These are imperative in developing your advanced design, management and technical skills. You’ll complete these throughout the course.
