Entry requirements

A UK honours degree (minimum 2.1 for MRes; minimum 2.2 for MSc) or equivalent in a relevant discipline such as Biochemistry or Microbiology. Applicants with relevant employment experience or other relevant qualifications will also be considered.

Biotechnology is a massive international growth area and this course is designed to cultivate the theoretical knowledge and practical skills needed for a career within companies and research organisations. You will be working with experts in individual disciplines and will have the opportunity to study a variety of aspects of your discipline of choice.

MSc Biotechnology is a commercially relevant course suited to recent graduates looking to develop professional skills for a job in a biotechnology company. This course also includes an option of a one year work placement.

The MRes Biotechnology is an independent research based course, supervised by one of our experienced academics. The course will help you gain extensive knowledge in a particular subject area as well as develop vital research skills.
