Course content

This two-year Master’s course will provide you with a comprehensive knowledge of the key areas of accounting and finance, and prepare you for a career in management where an accounting and finance focus is required. The data analytics units cover a range of topics including programming, databases, security, project management and computer networking. This will give you the underpinning theory and ability to apply it to complex real-world problems, as well as an awareness of emerging technologies and developments.

  • This course will enhance your ability to understand the accounting and finance systems within a business and management context
  • Study in formal lectures, seminars and tutorials but also in small groups that involve the in-depth discussion of case studies, simulation exercises, preparation for assessments and work on presentations
  • Every taught unit on this course will be delivered in a block mode for the duration of six weeks

Career opportunities

This course will enable you to pursue a career in a variety of business areas such as financial institutions; non-financial firms; corporate/investment banks; multinational firms and SMEs. You will be able to work as a financial analyst, finance manager, corporate treasury, credit controller and other roles in the area of accounting and finance. As a graduate of this course, you will also have the opportunity for further study at MPhil and PhD level.
