Course content

If you’re a full-time working professional committed to extending your understanding and improving your practice through research, our EdD is an excellent choice.

You don’t have to be a teacher, tutor or lecturer to benefit from studying with us. The broad appeal of our EdD means that it is relevant to professionals engaged in learning, teaching, coaching, development, education policy and administration in a wide range of occupations and settings.

The first two years of the programme are designed to build your skills and confidence to engage in doctoral level study and to research your professional field. As you continue the programme and begin your independent research, individual tutorials and seminar groups will provide you with ongoing support and a chance to build close working relationships with your tutors and other students.
