Master’s Programme in Particle Physics and Astrophysical Sciences

Study at the University of Helsinki and develop a deep understanding of the fundamental processes that shape the universe.

How did the universe evolve from the Big Bang?

What fundamental laws govern the universe, from elementary particles to the formation of the solar system, stars, and galaxies? The Master’s Programme in Particle Physics and Astrophysical Sciences focuses on answering these profound questions by providing a broad and rigorous understanding of the underlying physical phenomena.

You will also develop strong skills in mathematical methods, computational tools, and/or experimental techniques, along with advanced problem-solving and logical reasoning abilities. These competencies prepare you for careers in scientific research as well as a wide range of roles in the private sector.
