Course content
The MSc Computing is available as a Master’s (180 credits), Postgraduate Diploma (120 credits) or Postgraduate Certificate (60 credits), designed to develop advanced technical knowledge and practical computing skills aligned with industry needs.
The programme provides a strong foundation in core computing areas, including artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, data management, computer systems and software development. You will apply programming and analytical techniques to real-world scenarios, gaining experience in tools and technologies such as Python, SQL and modern software engineering practices.
Teaching integrates theory with hands-on learning, enabling you to design, develop and evaluate digital solutions while considering ethical, security and sustainability challenges. The MSc culminates in an independent project, where you will apply advanced problem-solving and technical expertise to a substantial computing challenge.
Suitable for both graduates with a computing background and those seeking to transition into the field, the programme prepares you for professional roles across software development, data analysis, AI, cybersecurity and wider digital technology sectors.
