Course content
The MSc Clinical Nutrition is available as a Master’s (180 credits), Postgraduate Diploma (120 credits) or Postgraduate Certificate (60 credits), designed to develop advanced knowledge and practical skills in evidence-based nutrition practice.
The programme explores the role of nutrition in preventing and managing complex health conditions, including malnutrition, obesity and cardiometabolic disease. You will examine health inequalities, inclusive clinical practice, sustainable food systems and the global challenges shaping contemporary nutrition care.
Teaching integrates scientific theory with real-world application, equipping you with skills in dietary assessment, clinical data analysis, research methods and professional communication. The MSc culminates in an independent research project, enabling you to apply critical evaluation and evidence-based practice to a focused area of clinical nutrition.
Accredited by the Association for Nutrition (AfN), the programme enables eligible graduates to register as Associate Nutritionists with the UK Voluntary Register of Nutritionists (UKVRN), supporting professional recognition and career progression across healthcare, public health, research and industry.
