Entry requirements
A UK bachelor's degree with upper second-class honours or higher (or equivalent overseas qualification approved by the University) in a subject with some element of quantitative study, eg: finance, economics, engineering, physical sciences, computer science, maths. Applicants with relevant work experience are encouraged to apply.

Course content
Covering a combination of subjects offered by very few UK universities, this MSc programme will equip you with the analytical and quantitative skills desired by businesses. Southampton is also ranked in the World Top 40 and 7th in the UK for Statistics and Operational Research (QS World University Rankings by Subject 2022).
The course content is informed by industry input and draws on expertise from one of the UK's leading centres of research in this area.
You could apply for a summer project in industry, which will form your dissertation and enhance your CV.
Our students have undertaken summer projects with a range of organisations including Rolls-Royce, IBM, JP Morgan, and Lloyd's Register.
Information for international students
If English is not your first language, you will need to demonstrate that you have reached a satisfactory standard in an approved English language test.
The following scores are accepted for direct entry:
IELTS 7.0 overall with 6.5 in all components
All tests must be no more than two years old at the time of enrolment.
