Course content

The events industry is dynamic and growing, meaning there are a multitude of sectors for you to work in across the globe. This course will help you gain a detailed understanding of the theory and equip you with the practical skills required for a successful career in international events management.

You will be given the opportunity to put strategy into practice with live event group projects. This practical experience will help you stand out in the job market after graduation.

Previous graduates have gained employment in areas such as corporate events, hospitality events, sports event, conferences, exhibitions and music festivals to name a few.

This course aims to produce event professionals who can operate globally in the ever-growing events industry. The careers available to those qualified at postgraduate level in this subject area are exciting and varied. The professional focus of this course, at operational and strategic level, gives you a range of opportunities to engage with the events industry and you will develop expertise in planning and managing different events.

You will also have the opportunity to undertake a 36-48 week internship as part of your study.
